Costa Tropical
Visitors wishing to escape the crowds can head out to the Costa Tropical of the Granada province, with its picturesque beachside and hidden coves. Not as well known as its western neighbour, the Costa del Sol, Costa Tropical offers the peace and tranquility of a seaside village but will all the modern amenities. For most of the year, Costa Tropical is free from tourists and even foreign expatriate residents.
Water sports and scuba diving are just two of the things worth doing near the Marina del Este yacht harbour. The white village of Salobreņa is also worth a visit. The village, with its narrow white streets, provides a sample of the Andalucian pueblo atmosphere. Explore the Moorish fortress and marvel at the magnificent view of the sugarcane, lychee, lime, mango and olive plantations which stretch as far as the Sierra Nevada.
