Balsicas
Located only 15 minutes away from the Mar Menor and Murcia or San Javier airport in Spain, Balsicas is a typical Spanish village having its name originate from rafts constructed centuries ago.
In 1983, a territorial division took place which resulted in the division of the town in two. The town of Balsicas demonstrated its misfortune by this division and requested its independence, but the city council of Pacheco declined their plea and constructed an artificial border between the two parts of the town, which resulted in Balsicas belonging to two different city councils.
